Stephen Williams has stated his opposition to the proposed plans to expand Bristol International Airport at a meeting organised by the Stop Bristol Airport Expansion coalition (SBAE).
Stephen told the meeting, attended by over 60 people at the Council House on College Green, that air travel's impact on climate change was too great to ignore.
He said: "We all need to do something to tackle the causes of climate change. Aviation is a big contributor to global warming and we can't let the industry grow without regard to its environmental impact. Air travel is the least taxed and regulated form of transport and this needs to change."
